Municipality of the Borough of Chester
March 13 at 4:20 PM ·
To the Chester Senior Community,
Many of you have generously offered to assist our senior friends and neighbors in Chester by delivering groceries and medications to them. To facilitate this process, the Borough is working with the Chester/Mendham Food Pantry as the Food Pantry has a list of volunteers who will make these deliveries. If you are a senior or if you know a senior who will need assistance, please call 908-879-3660 ext. 2128 and leave a message with your need. This line is being monitored and the information will be shared with the Food Pantry. The Senior Bus has been temporarily suspended as it is best for the seniors to practice “social distancing.” If you are a senior and feel that you have an emergency situation, please call 911.  The Food Pantry is also working with CASH and offering the same service to our senior friends residing there. If you would like to volunteer to assist, please PM the Chester/Mendham Food Pantry.
Thank you all for being such a caring community.
Mayor Hoven
