Program Director for SRC
Martha’s educational background includes a BS degree in Psychology and a Minor in Social Work from Seton Hall University. Her passion for helping others was evident as she accepted a Recreational Therapist position in an Assisted Living facility working primarily with the Alzheimer population. She was soon promoted to Senior Recreation Therapist responsible for organizing an extensive Alzheimer’s program in addition to providing additional programs and in-service groups for other residents and supervising other therapists.
Martha completed her Paralegal Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson Universality and worked for 12 years with a defense law firm dealing primary in labor and employment. She assisted attorneys with depositions, document inspection and trial preparations.
After taking some time off to care for her growing family, she returned to the workforce. Naturally she followed her passion for helping others and for 3 years she worked as a Private Care Giver helping clients with the activities of daily living. Providing companionship and maintaining a pleasant environment for her clients.
Her love for helping others in addition to her education and past experiences have given her the necessary tools to meet the challenges faced as Director for the Senior Resource Center.
